Kumud Joshi

Since childhood, the expression of nationalism has been imbibed by Ms. Kumud Joshi. Inspired by her mother about Khadi as the true spirit of freedom, Ms. Joshi and her entire family spun the charkha each day. Ms. Joshi started off her professional career as an Extension Officer, Govt. of Gujarat, and served in the Special Multipurpose Project in the
backward and tribal areas of Gujarat for ten years. Since then she hasn’t possibly looked back.

Ms.Kumud Joshi was appointed by the Government of India Member of Western Zone and Chairperson of The Khadi & Village Industries Commission. She joined KVIC as Chairperson on 26th July 2006, and has been rendering her services since then. She was also elected as Governor of Andhra Pradesh during 1985. She has been actively involved in many social activities as well.
