Durba Sahay

Durba Sahay is a gifted actor, Director and Playwright and Production Designer. She made her debut as a Director through her short film – The Pen which was also chosen for ‘Short Film Corner 2011’ and ‘64th Festival De Cannes’. Durba has had her intense involvement with theatre and films even as a child. She is also an acclaimed author; her book named ‘Raftar’ exemplifies her immense talent and creative bent.

Durba Sahay’s role in the Award winning film “Patang” (1994) brought her immense attention and praises. She also won “Silver lotus” for the production of the film. A distinct trait of her character is that she manages her many versatile roles comfortably.
