Archana Sharma

Dr. Archana Sharam, having acquired extensive qualifications such as – D.Sc Doctorates Sciences particle physics, Ph.D. Nuclear Physics, M.Sc Master’s Science, etc has paved a successive path for herself. She is the only Indian who is on the rolls of CERN – European Organization for Nuclear Research.

Since 1989 she has worked on instrumentation, detector design, also development, installation and commissioning of the CMS experiment. Dr. Archana has always actively been involved with numerous Conferences and workshops sharing her knowledge and experience widely with the inquisitive audiences. Throughout her career span of till now Dr. Archana has acquired immense skills and knowledge, and have also portrayed vital roles such as – Editor of Physics Watch Section CERN COURIER (1999-2002), as a member of advisory Committee for the RPC Conference 2005 & 2007 in Seoul, South Korea and Mumbai, India respectively, Co-Chair IEEE 2004 Nuclear Science Symposium, and many more.

Today, with her instrumental participation and dedication, she could come across a tremendous discovery of the God particle which has ignited inquisitiveness amongst the people all across the globe.
